Our History

The lovely country church of St. Andrew’s lies at the heart of Limpsfield Chart, set in a peaceful garden and surrounded by National Trust land. The church was built in 1896, with a bell tower added in 1902, holding a peal of bells which has called people to worship and joyously rung out after weddings and other special services.

St. Andrew’s is a member of the Limpsfield and Tatsfield team of churches, and we hope to be growing our faith and outreach together in many new ways over the years ahead, both at St. Andrew’s itself and within the fellowship of the team.

The area is a magnet for people who wish to cycle, hike, horse ride or just enjoy a stroll in the beautiful woodland.  The mission of the Church on the Chart is to be a vibrant part of village life, a relevant channel of the Good News of Jesus, and a hopeful presence to the needs of this community and further to the world.
